Two films from the YAAAS! Competition, curated by the YAAAS! Young Programmers, and one film from the section Local Artists Competition will be offered as school screenings. The selected works are recent European feature films that deal thematically with the realities of adolescents' and young adults' lives.
Two of the films of the YAAAS! Competition are offered as school screenings followed by talks with those film guests present: LA STORIA DEL FRANK E DELLA NINA (IT/CH 2024; d: Paola Randi) and CHRISTY (IE/GB 2025; d: Brendan Canty). Moreover, WENN DU ANGST HAST NIMMST DU DEIN HERZ IN DEN MUND UND LÄCHELST / IF YOU ARE AFRAID YOU PUT YOUR HEART INTO YOUR MOUTH AND SMILE (AT 2025; d: Marie Luise Lehner), which recently received the TEDDY Jury Award at the Berlinale and is presented here in the program section Competition Local Artists, will be shown as a school screening. For the latter, Crossing Europe will provide specially designed school materials as free downloads ready to be used for preparation or follow-up work.
