JESSICA DAVIES (FRANCE)

born 1975. Studied communication, cultural sciences and forgeign languages in Dijon and Lille. Lives in Munich and since 2003 works for the international TV station TV5MONDE for the German-speaking region (promotion of francophone films etc.).

THOMAS IMBACH (SWITZERLAND)

born 1962 in Luzern. Zurich-based Independent filmmaker since 1987. In his works Imbach keeps probing the borderline between fiction and documentary, film and video as well as traditional cinematographic skills and new technologies. His film LENZ, which premiered at Berlin Film Festival was presented at CROSSING EUROPE 2006.

ALIN TASCIYAN (TURKEY)

born 1969 in Istanbul. Studied journalism and public relations at the University of Istanbul. Since 1994 film critic of the daily newspaper Milliyet. Curator of the film programme „Magic of Cinema“ at TV channel TRT 2. Advisor for the Istanbul Film Festival and the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Member of FIPRESCI.

RIK VERMEULEN (THE NETHERLANDS)

manages the Film Office at the International Film Festival Rotterdam since 2000, is programme director for the Transsilvania International Film Festival, CineLink Industry Office coordinator for the Sarajevo Film Festival, and coordinates the CentEast – Warsaw Screenings.

MANUEL YÁÑEZ MURILLO (SPAIN)

born 1980 in Santiago de Chile and based in Barcelona since 1981, he works as a film critic for several Spanish and international media. Member of Letras de Cine editorial staff, he‘s a contributor to Film Comment, Rouge and chilean Diario Siete. He‘s in the Catalan Critics Association board.

SIEGFRIED A. FRUHAUF (LINZ)

born 1976 in Grieskirchen. Has studied since 1995 at the Linz University of Art, Master Class for experimental visual design. 2004 CROSSING EUROPE Artist in Residence. 2005 Winner of the CROSSING EUROPE Award Local Artist. MAYA MCKECHNEAY (VIENNA)

While still a schoolgirl she sneaked into the non-stop showings of the Festival of the Film Colleges in Munich, and since then she has been a sucker for the cinema. Studied German linguistics and film theory. Lives and writes in Vienna, among others for the city newspaper Falter, and also works for sixpackfilm.

MICHAEL PALM (VIENNA)

Born in Linz in 1965. Film maker, cutter, film composer and sound designer. Freelance author and film theoretician. Reader at the Film Academy, at the University of Applied Art and at the Technical University of Vienna. Films (selection): SIM MOVIE (2003), EDGAR G.
