Save the Date: 21st Crossing Europe from April 30 – May 5, 2024 | Film Entries Open until January 8, 2024 | Salzkammergut 2024

 
13.12.2023 // Invigorated by the success of the anniversary year 2023, and despite a challenging financial environment, the Crossing Europe team is focusing on and eagerly awaiting the 2024 festival edition that will take place from April 30 to May 5 at the venues Moviemento, City-Kino and Central and around the OÖ Kulturquartier.

For the 21st Crossing Europe, hundreds of entries from throughout Europe hold the promise of another film program marked by courageous, unconventional and artistically ambitious perspectives rounded off by outstanding Upper Austrian works of filmmaking. It will be the fifth time already for the YAAAS! Youth Program with its comprehensive offering for young film enthusiasts.

The first film and festival highlights will be announced in January 2024 while early-bird festival passes will already be available from December 15.

The film submission period for Crossing Europe Film Festival Linz 2024 runs until January 8, 2024. All further information on rules & regulations can be found here.

Salzkammergut 2024: Joint Project of Kino Ebensee & Crossing Europe

The cultural year 2024 in Upper Austria will be shaped to a significant extent by the program of “anton bruckner 2024” and the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024, in which Crossing Europe will be represented with a project in September 2024, cooperating with the cultural association KINO EBENSEE (project responsibility): “Let’s Live Together! Communities and Culture on Screen”, offers a multi-day international film screening as well as a practice-oriented educational program for youths from the region between the ages of 15 and 20.
