Following the award winning, Turkish director Yeşim Ustaoğlu, the Romanian producer Ada Solomon, and the Albanian filmmaker and film conservator Iris Elezi, CROSSING EUROPE will shine a light on the works of the independent British filmmaker, screenwriter, cinematographer, and cutter Mark Jenkin in the program section SPOTLIGHT.

This year, CROSSING EUROPE will dedicate its Tribute section to one of the most important representatives of international media, film, and performance art: VALIE EXPORT. She was born in Linz in 1940, where she also grew up.

For the past years, CROSSING EUROPE has increasingly been putting measures into practice that focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly festival work. This year we could implement a bundle of initiatives that allowed for CROSSING EUROPE to be certified as a GreenEvent OÖ by the Climate Alliance Austria (Klimabündnis Österreich).
For the past years, CROSSING EUROPE has increasingly been putting measures into practice that focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly festival work.
