Der junge Ferdi ist davon überzeugt, ein hässlicher Mann zu sein. Deshalb, so denkt er, findet er auch keine Freundin. Umso größer fällt seine Überraschung aus, als die hübsche Jona sich für ihn interessiert. Den Grund dafür hat Ferdi schnell ausgemacht: Jona ist blind. Er ahnt nicht, dass die von zu Hause ausgerissene Abi-Abbrecherin ihre Blindheit nur vorgaukelt, weil sie auf diese Weise im Blindenwohnheim bei ihrer Cousine unterkommt. So entwickelt sich zwischen dem gar nicht wirklich hässlichen Ferdi und der gar nicht blinden Jona eine zarte Liebe. Die Frage ist nur, wie Ferdi reagiert, wenn er die Wahrheit erfährt. What Ferdi doesn't suspect: She's just pretending to be blind to be able to live cheaply in subsidized housing. How long can she maintain her charade? Can love, which is supposed to make you blind, even work out that way? Tom Lass
Born in 1983 in Munich, started acting at the age of 15. Since 2005 he has become active behind the camera. His first low budget feature, “Papa Gold” (2011) was nominated for the Max Ophüls Award and the First Steps Award. He proceeded in 2013 with “Käptn Oskar”, which won the top award at Oldenburg Film Festival. “Ugly & Blind” is his third feature.
